Monitoring, auditing and measuring the system

Has the program established monitoring, auditing, and reporting systems where employees can report criminal conduct without fear of retribution?

As noted in earlier postings, employee training must be comprehensive and monitored by an electronic or manual test requirement.

Audits should be internal and external. Typically, internal audits should be an essential part of the ISO or other standards program.  Internal audits also engage key enterprise personnel, top to bottom in the process.

An external audit provides the Senior Management Team with an update of what changes and improvements in state of the art global resource and compliance activities.  These audit activities reflect continuous improvement which is an essential part of any successful enterprise in today’s competitive world environment.

The organizational climate survey process must focus on the employee perception of the ethics and compliance program.  It must be formulated with the appropriate standards and requirements of the customers, especially when dealing with world class competitors, and customers including government entities.
